"We lost Fire's trail that first night in the rain. Feather and I have been lost on the Prideless Stretch ever since. We've been eating things even the vultures don't want. Or, Feather has...It's rare for me to find enough for both of us." [...] "Being alone on the Stretch is bad enough, but having someone else to take care of...I'm not sure how much longer this can go on."Nothing about being lost on the Prideless Stretch in Episode 6: Prideless.

The Prideless Stretch, or simply the Stretch, is a hot, empty desert with very few animals or plants. Few lions survive in it. A large portion of the Stretch are the remains of what was once the Emerald Valley.

Description[]

"It's called the Prideless Stretch because it's empty. No one can survive out here for long, especially in the dry season."
—Nothing to Feather about the Stretch "Episode 4: Outsider"
The Prideless Stretch refers to the hot desert within Africa, containing few animals and plants.[1] There are a few carcasses around of animals that died due to lack of resources to survive, and very limited water sources.[2] Most Pride lions and lionesses fear the Prideless Stretch, as it's easy to die of hunger or thirst.[2]

Episode 4: Outsider[]

When Fire visits to see Nothing, Feather follows them and insists on coming with them to see Fire's friends on the Prideless Stretch. Nothing hesitates at first, but agrees to the idea.
As the three enter the Stretch, Feather, in awe, comments on how empty it is. Nothing tells him that it is called the Prideless Stretch because it's empty, and that no one can survive in it for long, especially in the dry season. They eventually approach the band of No-Manes, all resting beside a dead tree. Fire introduces his friends to Feather and Nothing, and introduces his friends to them as well.
Proud asks Nothing if she's gotten her huntress name yet, to which she confirms, introducing herself as Nothing. Tangle remarks that it is a tough name, and Fire assures him that Powerstrike only gave it to her to be cruel, encouraging them to call her Sister instead. When Proud then says that Nothing seems like an accurate name, Fire nervously tries to reassure Nothing that he's teasing. While Proud explains his reasoning, Tangle interrupts, commenting that Proud just doesn't know when to shut up.
He introduces himself as Tangle, remarking that Fire talks about Nothing all the time. Nothing asks her brother if he really does, to which he admits, telling her that he's proud of her for defeating Quickmane as a cub. Proud asks Nothing about the story as he's new to the group, but Feather responds instead, excitedly telling the No-Mane about how she ripped out his dad's eye. Proud encourages Feather to speak more about Quickmane's half-blindness, before Nothing notices the time and leave the No-Manes behind in a rush.
