Episode 1: No-Mane[]

Starmane emerges from the tall grass to look after his cubs, playfully asking them not to be so unhappy to play with him. He is swarmed by them, and happily lies down on the ground, with his sons hanging over his back and his daughter being snuggled under his paw.
He happily watches them play until Fire says that Spark is being a jerk. Starmane says he's lost and doesn't know what they're arguing about. When pressed further he nervously admits he's fuzzy on the details of Pride Lore and how it came to be. Spark playfully explains it for him, making him smile. Fire tells him that he knows the story Spark told wasn't right. Nothing then tells the story. When Starmane hears that there were gruesome deaths in the story, he says it's a bit too violent and says he should have a talk with Sharptongue about it.
Nothing and Spark ask him not to, and when Fire defends his father, the two break into a small argument. Nothing attempts to break it up by playfully leaping at Fire, but he dodges her and calls her weak, making Starmane annoyed. The roar of a No-Mane is then heard. Starmane jolts forward and gets up tensely. He orders his cubs to hide in the tall grass and firmly tells them to stay, but Fire runs off.
Starmane walks off to fight the No-Mane, but the No-Mane, Quickmane, gives him a foreleg wound and also causes blood to pour down his neck. Starmane bursts through the tall grass and cries out to his cubs to run, just in time for the No-Mane to latch onto his back. Starmane shakes him off and they viciously circle each other. Unbeknownst to Starmane, Spark and Nothing did not run when he told them to, and instead are watching the fight from the grass. Starmane swipes at Quickmane in an attempt to weaken him, but the No-Mane pins him to the ground and starts to strangle him. Starmane winces in pain and tries to move, only for the No-Mane to bite down harder into his mane. Starmane chokes out and feebly tries to escape the No-Mane, but he is helplessly strangled to death and is dropped to the ground, staring at his terrified son with wide, but dead eyes.
Later on, Powerstrike alarmingly points out that she can smell blood and finds Starmane's corpse in horror, calling out his name. Shorty after, Quickmane is confronted by an angry Powerstrike and Sharptongue, and Quickmane swears that he won the battle with Starmane honorably.

Episode 2: Nothing[]

Starmane is briefly mentioned by Fire when the latter said that he is proud of Nothing, and that if Starmane and Spark were still alive, they would be just as proud. Later, he is mentioned once again, this time by Nothing while narrating the beginning of the episode, when she states that the whole Pride has moved on from her father without a second thought, and that she struggles to understand it.

Episode 9: Fire[]

When Fire is wrestling with Barkmane, Nothing has a horrifying flashback of Starmane dying bloodstained beneath the paws of Quickmane, watching the parallels between the battles and freezing up.

Episode 10: Pride Law[]

Fire mentions Starmane when he eerily tries to convince Nothing to let him kill Feather. He states that he has always looked out for her ever since Starmane's death, and that Nothing needs to help him now.
