Splinter was an African lion who periodically appeared in the background of Episode 8 when Lite and Kyoga were playing together as cubs.

- Splinter had a very pale gray — almost white — pelt with a white underbelly, paws, muzzle, and eyelids. He also had a duel-colored brown and gray mane and tail tip. His inner-ears were pinkish-gray with black tips, and his lower eye rims lead down to his muzzle. He also had deep teal eyes. On his original reference sheet, he was shown with a striped tail.[1]

- As Rain takes Nothing through her past life as Kyoga, they come across multiple lions, including Splinter. He is seen blurred in the background alongside Nightstrike, Zoroark Lioness, and another unknown lioness while Kyoga and Lite play.

- Splinter is one of the creators' selected OCs for Episode 8: Rain, and was created by Vigment (who is also the boyfriend of Maskii, one of the animators on the show).
