"Huntresses! I say if this No-Mane doesn't end the bloodline of all other rivals, he has no rightful claim to our Pride. Those in agreement, let me hear your voices." —Moonstrike to her Huntresses in Episode 9: Fire.
Moonstrike is a minor character in My Pride.
Moonstrike was Barkmane's mate and the Hunt Chief of Barkmane's Pride. She debuted in Episode 9.
Personality[]
- Moonstrike is a cunning and calculating lioness. When Fire arrives at her Pride to claim it, Moonstrike is angry and hurt about Barkmane's death, refusing to accept Fire as their Mane. She demands that he kills Feather to get the Pride, as he is not his cub. When she speaks of her late mate's death, she goes soft,[1] and when Nothing is wounded and nearly killed by Fire, Moonstrike looks away, hinting at a more sympathetic side of her.[2]

Appearances[]
Episode 9: Fire[]
- Moonstrike is seen standing with her Pride when Fire announces that he has defeated Barkmane. Fire states that by Pride Law, he is the new Mane. Moonstrike refuses him and asks who the Prideless lions behind him are. He explains that they are Nothing and Feather, his sister and her ward respectively. Moonstrike coldly demands that he kills Feather, as a true Mane doesn't raise cubs who aren't his blood. Fire tries to change her mind, stating that Feather was hardly a cub, to which Moonstrike argues that that makes him a rival. She tells him to finish what he started, or to leave the Pride. Fire is reluctant, and Moonstrike tells her Pride that if Fire doesn't end the bloodline of all other rivals, he has no claim to their Pride. The Pride roars in agreement, and Moonstrike asks Fire what he chooses to do.[1]
Episode 10: Pride Law[]
- Fire follows Moonstrike's demands and supposedly kills Feather, causing Nothing to challenge him. Moonstrike looks away when Nothing nearly dies from Fire's vicious attacks and looks shocked to learn that Fire had killed another lion on the Stretch. Toward the end of the episode, Moonstrike gives Fire a bitter stare, along with the rest of her Pride.[2]
Relationships[]
Barkmane[]
- "You killed my mate of many seasons to win our Pride. Finish what you started, or leave us."
- —Moonstrike to Fire about Barkmane "Episode 9: Fire"

Fire[]
- Moonstrike was suspicious of Fire after he killed Barkmane and brought two Prideless lions with him. Moonstrike was angry that a lion she, initially, found unworthy of her Pride had killed her long-time mate. Moonstrike told her Pride to reject Fire if he was unwilling to kill Feather.[1]
