Barkmane was shown, from the dialogue we know, to be a caring and supportive mate for his wife, and just from random behaviours by the pride to have had respect from all his lionesses and also respected them. He's not even a little evil.

We don't know much on embermane, quickmane is... fine i guess, but still bad. Proudmane just sucks. I personally like starmane.
