He was probably too distracted by Nothing's reaction to watching her cousin's "death".

Fire is still terrible in my opinion, he asked his disabled sister for help against a giant lion who would’ve killed him, he didn’t even win fairly against Barkmane since Feather came, Fire could’ve said that Feather was his cousin instead of his sister’s “ward”.

He is so weak as well, can you imagine?

Nothing proved to be a very good fighter, he gave him al ot of scars, if she was completely healed she would’ve most likely won over Fire.

He killed his cousin, someone who saved his life.

He killed Tangle and POSSIBLY ate him.

He was willing to fight his sister and seemed to have the intention of killing her.

I might be perceived as having unrealistic expectations of nomanes in their society, but since Sharptongue clearly states at the start of the series that a mane needs to be killed OR exiled, I honestly don't have much respect for any mane that kills in order to take over. And so really the only one I respect at this point in-series is Starmane, who was revealed to have just simply tried to drive out Embermane, the previous mane, but he ended up dying by hitting his head against a rock. Starmane never intended to kill him.

All the others- Quickmane, Proudmane, and now Fire decided to stoop lower than average from the start by killing the current mane.

So yeah I agree that Fire isn't the worst. But I don't think he's better than the rest either and I definitely don't think killing is or should be the standard in pride law, and that if a nomane kills then they are definitely in the extreme.

You make a good point, however, in the end, I still am mad at him for it AND what he did to Nothing.

I agree with you @Wnterheart starmane was a very good mane, what i'm saying is that fire is just another victim of pride law, forced by a reason or another to do terrible things.
